Richard B. Baxter was a prominent Presbyterian businessmen in Sparta. He was known for his "beautiful" Jersey bulls, his imported English shotguns, and his generosity with game killed on his hunting trips. Finally, he was chosen by David Dickson as one of three trusted men who witnessed the signing of Dickson's will.
